It's been awhile since I posted on here. Things have been busy busy at our house. Not only having a 3 year old birthday party but also getting ready for the holidays. Oh ya, and staying up to date with the store. I made and sent out almost a dozen diaper cover testers and have gotten great reviews from them. I'm going to try to do weekly or bi-weekly stockings in the new year, and might experiment with pocket diapers! It all just depends on how much time the kids let me have during nap times, since I'd still like to have some evenings and weekends to spend with my hubby.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the diaper cover tester program. Glad you love your covers as much as I love mine, and keep an eye out for the pocket diaper testers in the New Year along with more diaper covers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my customers and followers.

Testers are going out!
I've sent out 4 testers this week. Every diaper gets easier and easier to make and looks better. And if I manage nap times properly, I can sew during the day and still have my evenings to relax. I have a few more testers to sew up and an order to complete as well-that's right, an order already! I also have to run to the fabric store to get some more choices. I'm excited that this is working out so well. And I realized last night that I can ship with Canada Post through PayPal. Much easier than going to the post office every time I need to ship orders.
I also organized my fabrics and my sewing room (sort of). I might work on cleaning it up a bit more today, since hubby took my car to work to get winter tires put on, so I can't go anywhere. Unless I want to walk and it snowed last night, so that's not going to happen. Hopefully the testers will arrive at their destinations next week and I can start posting customer pictures. I hope everyone likes them as much as I do.

Pictures of the first diaper covers
I would like to share with you the evolution of my diaper covers.
Green Minky dot diaper cover, size small. Those tabs were really hard to sew so I changed them for the next covers. But the cover still works and fits great.
Green Minky dot diaper cover size medium (tabs take two). The velcro tabs still work great, but look better and are much easier to sew on.
All the other covers I'm posting are size medium with the new tabs.
Dinosaur Minky
Monkey Minky
Polka Dot Flannel
And my husbands new favorite
Camaro Flannel
The velcro cross over tab on this one is on the other side due to the way the pattern ended up.
I thought it was cool to have that camaro folding on top. My husband likes it too.
And I couldn't resist, the car on the butt
and the monkey butt
Man these are cute!
And yes, I realize I'm biased!
Welcome to the blog
In order to expand my presence on the internet, I decided to start a blog. This will be an easier way to interact with my customers, including those who are not on Facebook.
To start out, here's a quick recap of what's going on for our store. I started making minky diaper covers a few weeks ago, for baby K, and they are amazingly cute and work amazingly well. Minky is a super soft fabric and comes in some adorable prints. I decided that I need to send out testers so that I can make sure that my pattern works on babies of all shapes and sizes. So after investing in more fabric and making more testers, baby K has 6 mommy made diaper covers-two green minky dot, one dinosaur and one monkey minky and one polka dot and one camaro flannel. Every diaper I make looks better, is more consistent and is done faster. I've found better elastic and a better way to sew the velcro tabs. Baby K is testing out the camaro flannel cover tonight, and if that goes well, I'll be starting to sew testers for customers tomorrow and Sunday to get them in the mail for Monday.
Also available in the store are pacifier clips and mitten holder clips. Never lose your little one's pacifier or winter mittens again. Keep them close with a stylish product to match any outfit or season. These also work for favorite toys, cups, etc. I've also made custom double sided, waterproof bibs.
I hope you enjoy following my sewing escapades as I build up my store and my business. And I hope you find something that you like for the little ones in your life.
